Billiguy Conservative Baptist School was founded in October of 1972, located in the district of Maissade. It is presently using the church building to teach 95 to 100 students from first to fifth grade. The children range in age from age 6 to 15 years old. It has been difficult to hire teachers as the school does not have sufficient income to provide adequate wages for the teachers. While the parents cannot afford to pay for the cost of sending their children to the school which would help with the wages, they do try to provide the children with necessary items such as shoes to attend the school. These children generally come from households of seven or more family members. Besides the teachers wages, the biggest challenge for this school is to have an appropriate building that would have separate classrooms for the students.
